A friendly chess club that meets 7.30 pm each Tuesday evening at the Chandlers Ford Central Club, 2 Winchester Road, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh, Hampshire SO53 2FZ.
Whether you like casual friendly games of chess over a drink, or a competitive chess match, there will be something to enjoy. Our members are from a range of ability.
If you want to get an English Chess Federation grade we can provide many opportunities for graded games: three internal chess tournaments each year, plus team matches (we enter teams in the Southampton Chess League).

Good evening folks, played my 1st league game for the A team last night v Graham Payne playing for Winchester B. Am pleased to record a win for myself, and also a win for the team, 3 and a half, 1 and a half. Overall a good team result against a team we would always want to score against, but as we all know, on the night, it’s any ones game.
Great to see the new website! Looks really impressive. With the Southampton League website not currently having the results for this year yet, would this be a good place to add our chess clubs results?
Hi Graham, thanks for the comment, I’m glad you like the website. The Southampton Chess League website is now up and running for result notifications after the initial delay at the start of the season.
